Memorial Blood Centers is the result of a shared vision of Fairview Range Medical Center and Memorial Blood Centers to provide lifesaving blood to patients safely and efficiently.
With this partnership, the community of Hibbing joins the greater Arrowhead Region in giving the "gift of life" to patients in our local hospitals.
Blood donors can donate at Memorial Blood Centers, located at Fairview Plaza, 1200 East 25th Street, Suite 204, Hibbing, or a state-of-the-art Bloodmobile that travels to local businesses, churches, schools and community organizations for blood drives. We make it more convenient for donors to save a life.
90% of the U.S. population will need a transfusion for themselves or an immediate family member at some time in their lives. Less that 5% of the U.S. population donates blood. In Minnesota, 6% of the population donates.
"Volunteer blood donors are very special. They give more than their time or their money. They give the gift of life - the contribution that has no substitute." - Thomas Uncini, M.D., Fairview Range Medical Center, Medical Director Laboratory Services
