People choosing to have hip or knee replacement surgery have made that decision because of their limited mobility and changed life style because of pain and they are ready to take their life back. Attending a total joint replacement class gives them information about surgery, hospitalization and what to expect after surgery. Studies have shown that class attendants are less nervous, have less pain, participate more in their therapy, go home sooner and have fewer complications upon completion of the class. We provide them with information regarding preparing for surgery, anesthesia choices, preparing their home for after care, physical and occupational therapy management.
Classes are held at: Fairview Range Medical Center - Board Room (Use North Entrance)
2p.m. - 4p.m.
