Allocations
Through the generous support of the community, the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation is able to purchase advanced medical equipment for the Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi as well as fund educational programs and scholarships.
The following are descriptions of projects and programs recently funded by the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation in 2010:

| A robe warmer, blanket warmer, and a subscription to a satellite radio station were purchased by the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation for the Breast Center at the University Medical Center-Mesabi. |

| To enhance the the Diabetes Center, the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation purchased a new flat screen tv as well as a new medication refrigerator. |

| Neptune Rover Ultra |

| The purchase of a Neptune Rover Ultra by the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation for Surgical Services assists greatly with managing the wastes of surgical patients, allows for regular disposal vs red bag disposal, and allows for quicker turnover time of surgical rooms.

| The Central Mesabi Medical Foundation purchased diagnostic sets, a wound care camera, and an exam light for the Wound Care Center. |

| Hoist V4 |

| The Central Mesabi Medical Foundation purchased a Hoist V4 for the Physical Therapy department. The equipment allows patients to exercise their hamstring and quad muscles and benefits older patients that can't lie down on their stomach. |
