What is Fairview Range Community Care?
Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi and Mesaba Clinics offers this program of financial assistance and counseling to patients who cannot pay all or part of their hospital/clinic medical bills.
Do I qualify to receive help with my bills?
If your income is less than the amount listed below and you comply with the appication process, you may qualify for a discount of 30 percent to 100 percent on your bill. Fairview Range does not disqualify applicants for assets.

All applicants are required to first apply for help from the county and provide your letter of approval or denial in writing to Fairview to determine your eligibility for Community Care. We also ask that you follow the rules set by your insurance plan.
Community Care does not cover charges for: procedures that are not medically necessary, cosmetic, pharmacy, hearing aids, chiropractic services or services not billed or received at Fairview Range. If you do not know whether the care you are seeking is covered by Community Care, please ask us.
How do I sign up for this program?
If you think you might qualify for this program, please fill out and return the application. You will also need to provide copies of certain information. Please read carefully to supply this information. Not supplying the requested information or a reasonable substitute may disqualify you for assitance.
After we receive your application and determine if you qualify for the program, we will consider all your Fairview Range hospital and clinic accounts. Your application is good for six months. After six months, you will need to complete another application.
