Anticoagulation Clinic at University Medical Center-Mesabi
The Anticoagulation Clinic is designed to help patients manage
their anticoagulation medications. We want you to understand the
reasons for the medication therapy, potential complications and ways to
avoid negative reactions. We believe that if patients have more
knowledge, they will be better equipped to take an active role in
managing their health.
Fairview’s Anticoagulation Clinic is
staffed by a nurse who assists patients after their Pro Time is drawn.
During these visits, the nurse assesses lab reports, patient’s
condition and current medications. Through the use of physician
approved protocols, the nurse also instructs patients on the proper
warfarin dose and sets up clinic appointments. Click here to view/print brochure
