Respiratory Care Services at Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi provides a variety of services including oxygen therapy, aerosol nebulizer treatments, ventilator set up and management, incentive spirometry, oximetry, airway management, pulmonary function studies, sleep studies, as well as many other services. Our Pulmonary Function lab staff includes Registered Pulmonary Function Technologists and our Sleep Center is staffed by Registered Polysomnography Technologists.Our staff members are trained in the drawing of ABGs via the radial or brachial artery. All Respiratory Care Practioners are ACLS, PALS, and NRP certified.

We provide a wide range of educational services to the public, the staff at Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi, Hibbing Community College nurses and Lake Superior RCP students. We are always eager to assist staff nurses and physicians in any way we can to include education of patients concerning respiratory diseases, and respiratory evaluation of patients.
